Starting from humble beginnings in a suburban community led me to a lifetime of changes and experiences.  The bulk of my professional career while raising three children. My business experiences include banking/marketing/sales, real estate, and operating 15 retail locations in  4 states. I received a biology degree at Western Maryland College-now McDaniel College.   I re-married in 2018 and retired in July, 2022. I've served on a board for the Department of Social Services and currently serve on the Carroll County Board of Realtors which will end in the fall of 2024.    I served on community committees and started a formal networking and consulting business, WOW-WOMEN OPTIMIZING WOMEN, LLC ™ . which was established in 2012.   The WOW website was launched on March 1, 2023, to coincide with National Women's History Month.     My goal is to maintain a vibrant businesswomen's consulting and networking business for online and in-person opportunities.  The purpose is to bring women together to build rapport and establish relationships to refer businesses and provide support to help enhance and build their occupations and careers.   Other writings may continue as I have several works in progress.

 My interest in writing began in elementary school-4th grade.  Treasure Island captivated me as we created our own artwork and text pages; even binding them together with a cloth cover.  I was inspired by children's books such as:  Aesop's Fables, Misty of Chincoteague and the Encyclopedia Britannica-my parents kept them on a bookshelf in our basement.  I loved reading!   Later in life, I read for work and pleasure but, it wasn't until 2009 when I visited a small island in the Caribbean and decided to write a novel.  It was a 'vacation of a lifetime'.  However, that vacation was one of the wackiest times of my life and is still a topic of discussion with my spouse, children, friends and family.  Some of whom have visited the island and shared the love of the island.  I have met so many people since that first trip in 2009.  People from all over the world and from a variety of backgrounds and cultures as well as retirees, authors, arts and educators, business moguls, and builders.  Most importantly, I have established and maintained a vast amount of friends who live on the Island coming from other lands and many Aruban natives.  Some of the political figures at events and have had a sit-down meeting with the Minister of Tourism  Danguillaume Oduber.   I meet regularly with local author John H Gray to discuss the art of writing and hear of his many accomplishments and experiences on the Island.  Today, people can read my work of writing my first fictional book and order it online I am ready to share, inspire, and enlighten other readers and writers alike.
